Rose always found harmony in her music. Why couldn't she find it in her life?

February 2009| Fiction
$24 Paperback
ISBN:978-1-56947-538-6

"Rose MacGregor is my kind of heroine—funny and serious, dreamy but brutally practical when it’s called for; someone blissfully inconsistent—like the rest of us. What more can one ask than that a novel presents us with a unique personality such as Rose’s?"
—Judith Guest, Ordinary People

In 1975, 25-year-old Rose takes a temporary professorship at a Midwestern college, convinced that an exciting career as a composer lies ahead. Determined to stay independent, she struggles with love, loneliness, ambition, and the perplexing question of happiness.
